Who we are

WOSA North America

The North America Winnesec Old Students’ Association is a community of proud alumni from Winneba Secondary School (WSS), now residing in North America. We’re a diverse network of professionals, creatives, entrepreneurs, and leaders bound by our shared roots and experiences at WSS. Our association provides a platform for reconnecting, mentoring, giving back, and celebrating the legacy of our alma mater. Together, we foster lifelong friendships and create lasting change for current students, the school, and each other.

As an alumni community dedicated to supporting each other and giving back to our beloved school. We’re here to foster connections, offer networking opportunities, and pool resources to empower Winnesec and its future students. By strengthening our bond as alumni, we create a network that’s full of opportunities for personal growth, mentorship, and contribution.

To see Winneba Secondary School recognized as a top educational institution, with a global network of engaged alumni dedicated to supporting the school’s growth and success.

Our Mission

To build a strong, supportive network of WSS alumni across North America that empowers each other, uplifts our alma mater, and provides opportunities for the next generation of Winnesec students.

Our Goals

WOSA North America

– To foster solidarity, fraternity, general welfare, and healthy intellectual advancement of members.

- To co-operate with other WOSA fraternities and associations worldwide.

– To promote cordial/ healthy relationships with our Alma Mater- WINNESEC.

Funding & Donations

Our Objectives

The association shall be non-profit, non-political, charitable, and a voluntary organization, with the following objectives:

To foster friendship and unity among old students of Winneba Secondary School resident in the North America region through meetings and social activities.

To harness the skills, talents and experiences of members in order to mobilize resources and funds to support the educational and infrastructural needs of our alma mater.

To liaise with the Alma Mater and other WOSA associations worldwide in the promotion of the image of an excellent Educational Standards of Winneba Secondary School.

To positively influence individual conduct in the school by provision of mentors and role models for students of the school.

To promote the welfare of members and their families, through support and welfare assistance in times of illness, bereavement or distress and to share their joy in times of celebration of Weddings, Births, Christenings and Birthdays.

To foster good relations between the Association and other charitable organizations with similar objects in the North America region, through inter-organizational cooperation and support.

To pursue any other objective, which is reasonably connected or incidental to the aforementioned.
